Over 14 new and emerging fashion designers and 7 of the most exciting bands from Brooklyn!
WFW provides a platform for young and emerging fashion designers who push the boundaries of design, presentation, production, ultimately re-evaluating the fashion industry as a whole. Past participants have shown us that there are many creative ways to be "green" through re-couturing, upcycling, recycling, eco-friendliness, artisan techniques, and transparent business practices. This season will be a feast for the audience's eyes, ears, hearts and minds. Shows will run the gamut from fashion as conceptual art to ready-to-wear, incorporating live music, theatre and dance, always raw, experimental and forward thinking.

A Glasslands original, New York Night Train's Soul Clap and Dance-Off has broken out internationally and reigned as North America's most popular soul party for two straight years - by far playing to more people in more places and generating more capital than any of its contemporaries. The concept is simple-all night dancing to wild 45s of subterranean maximum rock and soul DJ Mr. Jonathan Toubin and, in the middle, a $100 dance contest judged by a panel of local celebrities. Recession-friendly mass entertainment with a $5 door price, the dance party/spectacle not only sells beyond capacity at home, but has brought its excitement to domestic markets all the way from Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine and internationally from Tel Aviv to Mexico City-including monthly residencies in New York, Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Oakland, and PDX. The next couple of months will see the party on the Carnival Bruise Cruise Music Festival, SXSW, Mardi Gras, and more. Tonight's 1AM Dance-Off features Laura Leigh and judges Ian Svenonius (Nation of Ulysses, Make-Up, Weird War, Chain and the Gang, etc.), Kid Congo Powers (Cramps, Gun Club, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Kid Congo and the Pink Monkey Birds, etc.), Matt McAuley (A.R.E.
